A Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) is a licensed medical professional responsible for providing care to patients in different healthcare settings under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse. In this 120-hour plus program, students will have the opportunity to gain knowledge of health care settings, infection prevention, body mechanics, human needs and development, nutrition, mental health, home care, etc. with an emphasis on exceptional professionalism and a superb work ethic. At the end of the course, students will be eligible to sit for the Board of Nursing LNA exam. Successful completion of this program can also lead an LNA on a pathway toward becoming a Licensed Nurse Practitioner to Registered Nurse.

The Power Generation certificate is a new training program at WMCC. This certificate program is ideal for individuals preparing for or already working in a career performing installation, repair and preventive maintenance on power generation equipment.
Learn the fundamentals of power generation systems and the tools and techniques used to service them. Each course is focused on a single aspect of the skills and knowledge needed to service equipment such as generators, windmills or various types of power plants. These skills are also applicable to servicing other industrial equipment and may be taken as standalone courses.
Courses begin January 21, 2025 at the Littleton Academic Center.

In the areas of Construction and General Industry, students will learn to identify common hazards in the workplace, discuss how to abate these hazards, and understand their role in a safe workplace. Topics include an introduction to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, including fall hazards, electrical hazards, struck-by hazards, caught in/between hazards, and others tailored to the workplace.

WMCC offers the CDL Class A, CDL Class B, and hourly training to upgrade from a CDL Class A to Class B license, training to remove certain restrictions or to help refresh your skills.
The college also offers ELDT online training for Hazmat Endorsement.
CDL-A: This course prepares students through classroom instruction and in-vehicle training time. After hours of driving, labs, lecture, and range time, participants master a wide range of driver competencies to become safe, comfortable, confident drivers. This license is required to operate vehicles such as truck and trailer combinations, tankers, livestock carriers, and flatbeds.
CDL-B: This course prepares students through classroom instruction and in-vehicle training time. After hours of driving, labs, lecture, and range time, participants master a wide range of driver competencies to become safe, comfortable, confident drivers. This license is required to operate vehicles such as straight trucks, box trucks, and dump trucks.
Upgrade from CDL-B to CDL-A: The college offers the ELDT Theory and hourly training for those currently holding a valid CDL-B license wanting to upgrade their CDL license. This prepares drivers for the CDL-A driving exam. Pre-trip knowledge and shifting skills are required for enrollment.
Hazmat Endorsement: Under the new ELDT requirements the college is offering an online theory course for Haz-Mat. It is a self-paced course that can be completed at your convenience.

EMT training WMCC includes the latest science-based information and techniques and is led by knowledgeable instructors who have first-hand knowledge from working in the field. The course consists of in-person classroom time, an online homework component completed through Pearson’s MyLab Brady, and a hands-on skill learning portion. Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to take the National Registry of EMTs examination and subsequently apply for state licensure. The EMT course is a pre-requisite for the Advanced EMT and Paramedic programs.
